Wild Ambassador Pilot Project

The Wild Ambassador pilot project aims to expand our community of conservation-minded outdoor adventurers!

The Wild Ambassador pilot project aims to create a team of conservation-minded outdoor adventurers who will help CPAWS-BC bring a message of conservation to new audiences of outdoor users in BC. As a pilot project, we anticipate the stated metrics, timelines and targets will change, while the overall goal of increased engagement and protection remain the same.

This pilot project will focus largely on engaging online audiences in the #StandUpForParks campaign, to learn more about the campaign visit this page. As a Wild Ambassador, there are various ways that you can help to improve BC’s provincial parks and expand the conservation community across the province.

Opportunities to engage in this project include:

  • Talking to your online audience about the need for safe & healthy parks that are able to stand the test of time;
  • Sharing (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook) campaign content aligned with Stand Up for Parks provided by CPAWS-BC, including
  • Talk about the issues facing our parks using #StandUpForParks;
  • Echoing the campaign's calls to action;
  • Writing a blog to be posted on the CPAWS blogroll;

Timeline:  We ask Wild Ambassadors to commit to their role with CPAWS-BC for a 4-month period.
