Start With 1 Thing - Racing Extinction Screening

On May 26th, we’re excited to partner with Reel Causes to bring you Academy Award-winner Louie Psihoyos’ (The Cove) new documentary: Racing Extinction. This compelling, stunningly beautiful film goes beyond showing us the stark reality of human-induced species and habitat loss; it inspires us and provides ideas for individuals and communities to change course before it’s too late.

Reel Causes is a BC-registered non-profit society that brings together the power of film with the power of community to create positive social change. They screen critically-acclaimed independent films and connect audience members with “Community Causes”: non-profit organizations working to address environmental, social justice or health-related issues. They started up in 2010 and, sponsored by SFU Woodward’s, have since worked with over 45 organizations, helping them spread the word about their work and engage new patrons.
