Finding Vancouver’s Hidden Waterfalls

Join us on a Wild Ambassador led hike to find one of Vancouver’s local waterfalls, Norvan Falls! Hike through the lush forests of Lynn Valley, cross fun little bridges, groves of Cedars and pass by old logging carts and tools from early1900’s. This trail is 14 km on minimal elevation, estimated 5 hours to complete and is dog friendly! Bring rain gear and good shoes, and of course snacks!

Meeting Point:
The parking lot of Lynn Valley Loop, NOT Lynn Canyon. There is a little heritage house we will meet at, before you cross the bridge.
If travelling by car:
To reach the start of the trail, take Highway #1 to the Lynn Canyon Exit and follow Lynn Valley Road northbound. Continue past the shopping center and past the turnoff to Lynn Canyon Park. Where the road turns left, continue going straight along the narrow road to the last parking lot. If there is no parking here, backtrack about 500m to the overflow lot and walk back towards the main parking lot.
If travelling by transit:
From downtown Vancouver, take the Seabus across to North Vancouver and at the Lonsdale Quay bus loop, take bus #228 to Lynn Valley. You will want to get off of the bus near the end of the route at Dempsey and Lynn Valley Road. Let the bus driver know where you are going and they can stop at the location. Get off bus and walk down paved road until trail head.

Time of event:
Saturday, November the 22nd at 11 am.
