A big thank you goes out to all the runners who ran on behalf of CPAWS in the Scotiabank Half-Marathon and 5k run last Sunday. We raised money for our campaigns, awareness for wilderness protection and spent a nice sunny morning in Stanley Park.

Thanks to the fundraising efforts of our runners, we raised $4,270 to support a cause that aims to protect at least half of B.C.’s wilderness forever. Some of our runners dressed up as salmon to raise even more awareness about the work CPAWS-BC is doing to protect our marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors PainPro therapeutics and VIFF Film Centre who donated rewards for our CPAWS runners to keep them motivated and to support their fundraising efforts.

The event was a success and we hope to see everybody there again next year!
