Hailey Boehner is a conservation science professional that is passionate about protecting the biodiversity of our ocean and forests, and fostering sustainable, equitable, and inclusive conservation spaces. Hailey holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Victoria, and is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Environmental Practice at Royal Roads University.
She has held roles at Ocean Wise and the BC Wildlife Federation, focusing on developing educational content on climate resilience, marine conservation, and outdoor program management. She currently comanages social media content for Coexistence Films, highlighting films focused on environmental and Indigenous advocacy in the Pacific Northwest. In one of her most recent projects as part of the WWF Global Arctic Programme, Hailey collaborated with Arctic Youth and high-level policymakers from across the EU to create Arctic Ocean policy recommendations, and presented these to the European Parliament at the EU Arctic Forum and Indigenous Peoples’ Dialogue in Brussels, Belgium.
Hailey has represented organizations at international conferences such as the GLOBE Forum, IMPAC5, among others. Hailey has volunteered with a variety of environmental organizations in the past, such as the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Centre, BC SPCA Wild Arc, Rocky Point Bird Observatory, University of Victoria’s Baum Lab, among others. In her spare time, Hailey can be found exploring the forests of British Columbia with her dog, paddleboarding at local beaches, or cuddling up with her cat and a good book.
