The BC Government, with West Moberly and Saulteau First Nations, just announced an expansion of Klinse-za Provincial Park taking it to over 200,000 hectares.
The expansion stems from a 2020 agreement between the federal and provincial governments and West Moberly and Saulteau First Nations for endangered Southern Mountain Caribou in the area.
Securing long-term protection of their habitat is key to their survival. Protecting caribou habitat will also benefit other wildlife species, and help ensure healthy ecosystems for all residents of BC.
It’s important to let leaders know that British Columbians like you support protecting wildlife and nature.
Please help us by sending a thank you to George Heyman, BC Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy, Nathan Cullen, BC Minister of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship, Steven Guilbeault, Canadian Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Jonathan Wilkinson, Canadian Minister of Energy and Natural Resources.
