Marine conservation measure managed by Fisheries and Oceans Canada. No commercial or recreational bottom-contact fishing activities are allowed. The use of downrigger gear in recreational salmon trolling is also prohibited in these areas due to the potential risk of damage to shallow reefs. Indigenous Food, Social and Ceremonial bottom-contact fishing activities are being negotiated. Read more.
